I'm fascinated by materials and processes. I'm intrigued by my time and place.
My work has made multiple showings at such prestigious artistic arenas as The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, The California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art and has been awarded numerous honors in juryed gallery shows. My artwork has also been highlighted in an internationally publicized advertising campaign in Sculpture Magazine. I have also had the honor of being featured in several bay area publications as well as popular websites for both my personal and collaborative work.
Educated at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, I acted as the Student Representative for my department as I earned my Bachelors degree in Fine Art Sculpture. I focused my education on creative production methods and management with courses in business, marketing Industrial design, materials, production, installation, 2-d and 3-d design software, physics, metal welding, mold making & casting, practical instruction, and fine art.
I strive to connect viewer with subject through associative properties of our shared time and space. I believe our cultural artifacts can offer new awareness by interacting with us both physically and emotionally.
